Treating A Beer Hangover

By: J. Morgan

Beer is one of the most popular beverages in the world enjoyed by millions of people. Going to parties or bars and having a few drinks is one way that many people relax. Getting together with your friends on the weekend and sipping on a few beers can be very enjoyable and a great way to meet and get to know new people.

However, all too often people tend to over-drink, and the result is a hangover the next morning. In fact, this is such a common problem that you can even find the definition of a hangover in the dictionary. Finding a “cure” or even effective treatment for a hangover is a bit of a challenge, but there is hope.

Throughout the years, beer drinkers have been trying to invent a concoction that will treat all hangovers. They have come up with many brilliant ideas that they guarantee will work; however, what works for one person may not work for someone else, so you just have to give these “treatments” a try and see what happens. Below you will find a few of the most common ideas that you can try for yourself the next time you suffer from a beer hangover.

Ways to treat a beer hangover:

  • Mix raw eggs and tomato juice together and drink up

  • Drink another beer to get your morning off on the right track

  • Take magnesium supplements

  • Drink a red-eye (beer and tomato juice)

  • Eat bread or saltine crackers

  • Drink fruit or vegetable juice

  • Take vitamin C or B6

  • Drink some Gatorade

  • Drink a Bloody Mary

  • Take an Alka-Seltzer

  • Eat Bouillon broth

  • Take ginger

  • Eat bananas

There is no guarantee that any of these suggestions will work for you, but if you experience a lot of hangovers from which you would like some relief, these suggestions may be worth a try.

So whether you go have a few beers at your favorite hangout or get together with your friends for a night on the town, keep in mind that if you drink too much, you may be dealing with a hangover the next morning.

Of course, the best way to cure a hangover is by getting plenty of rest and allowing your body time to recuperate or learn your limit and stop drinking before you have to worry about it. Always have a great time and drink responsibly.
